The Artist - Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson was born on the 2 August 1958, in Gary, Indiana. Full name Michael Joseph Jackson; he was the third child of Joseph Walter and Katherine Esther Jackson.
He was introduced to the music scene at a very young age, in 1964 joining three of his older brothers (Sigmund Esco, Toriano Adaryll, and Jermaine La Jaune) who had already started performing 4 years before. Eclipsing his siblings through his amazing performing talents, Michael shortly became the main focus of the Jackson 5, who were soon recognised as being one of the most accomplished vocal groups of pop/soul in the 70's.
By 1980, Michael Jackson had already begun his solo career, reaching its zenith in 1982, through the album “Thriller”, a masterpiece that still remains the best selling album of all time.
He excelled not only through his incomparable voice, but through the multiple forms of talent he demonstrated throughout his career. He was a musician (vocal, piano, guitar, drums, beatbox), a songwriter, composer, record producer, dancer, choreographer and actor.
