The Artist - Michael Jackson (Part 2)

The main influence source that greatly contributed to his initial motivation and desire to take this path was James Brown (known as “The Godfather of Soul”). Another highly powerful influence was Diana Ross. He considered the amazing american singer and actress to be “art in motion”. She left an indelible mark mainly on his vocal technique. Other artists who had a substantial impact on him included the Bee Gees, Richard Wayne Penniman, Jack Leroy Wilson, Jr., Davis Eli Ruffin, Eugene Curran Kelly, Sammy Davis Jr. and Frederick Austerlitz.

His overwhelming talent, combined with his work ethic, gradually uplifted him to the summit of fame. He soon became “The King of Pop”. The first to introduce him by this name was Elizabeth Taylor, a very close friend of Michael.

Although a constant target of allegations (yet never proven in court), Michael maintained a figure of abnegation and chastity. His sensitivity was revealed not only through his music, but also through his actions. He offered 300 million dollars to charity, more then any other celebrity, apart from Oprah Winfrey.

“If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then anything that happens in between can be dealt with”.
