The Artist - Michael Jackson (Part 3)

Michael was the father of three children: Michael Joseph Jackson Jr, born on the 13th of February, 1997, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, born on the 3rd of April, 1998, and Prince Michael Jackson, born on the 21th of February, 2002.

He tragically passed away on the 25th of June, 2009, despite hours of attempts of resuscitation performed at first by his personal physician, Conrad Murray, and further by the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Centre. He was in his rented mansion, in the Holmby Hills district of Los Angeles, just coming out of a reclusive period of four years, preparing for a sold-out concert scheduled for July, in London. Music website Amazon sold, in only 24 hours after his death, as many Michael Jackson albums as it did in the previous 11 years.

Michael's legacy is enormous both as an artist and as a charitable patron. The quote below is perhaps his best known and is a fitting tribute to the philosophy he tried to live up to his entire life.

“In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. In a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.”
